Designing your bespoke engagement ring
Just like your love story, designing a custom engagement ring should feel natural and easy.
That’s why we not only tailor your ring design, we tailor your whole experience with us. It’s never rushed and it’s always comprehensive.
You can expect the process to flow a little like this:
Getting to know you
Our journey starts by getting to know each other over a casual chat at a time that suits you.
We’ll discuss your vision for the piece; talk about budget; answer your questions; and help
you brainstorm some ideas if you aren’t sure what you’re after.
Gathering the details
Next, we dive deep into the details. It’s important that we spend time ensuring we really
understand your future partner’s:
– personality
-likes and dislikes
– inspiration for rings and jewellery (we’ll discreetly look for any clues on their
Pinterest and social media followings etc)
Learning about how you both met and your love story also helps us with design inspiration.
Sketching a one-of-a-kind design
Using everything we’ve gathered, we’ll sketch out some ideas for your thoughts.
Our team then gets to work sourcing your gemstones and selecting materials.
Our industry contacts help us to scour the earth to find the perfect jewels for your piece –
always ethically sourced and of the finest quality.
Your first glimpse
A complimentary, 3D computer assisted drawing (CAD) allows you to see the ring before
it’s been manufactured.
After making any changes and receiving your tick of approval, the final CAD is passed onto
our trusted jewellers to create your bespoke piece.
The final transformation
Your design comes to life. Our jewellers turn your ring from a wax 3D print into a gold cast,
carving and moulding each detail.
This process usually takes around 5-6 weeks. We’ll let you know a more accurate time frame once your design is confirmed.
Finishing touches
Your ring moves from the workshop to our studio. It’s given a final quality check before a certificate of authenticity and valuation are completed.
Wrapped carefully in emerald green velvet – DJCA’s signature colours – your custom creation is kept safe until you’re ready to collect it from our studio.
Then it’s over to you to pop the important question.
